DAVIDE PEDICINI

Davide Pedicini (b. 1992) is an Italian photographer whose work explores the intersection of travel, personal narrative, and the preservation of memory. Born in Rome and raised in Monterotondo, his practice is rooted in the idea of the photograph as a "fixed point"—a necessary anchor for a mind in constant motion.

In 2017, Pedicini relocated to Tuscany, a move that marked the beginning of a deep visual exploration of landscapes and cultures alongside his partner. This period of discovery was interrupted at age 27 by a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. His subsequent recovery and return to health fundamentally reshaped his photographic perspective, shifting his focus toward the urgency of the present moment and the necessity of "custodizing" time through the lens.

After nearly a decade away, Pedicini returned to his roots near Rome, where he now lives with his wife and son. His work is characterized by an instinctive, visceral approach to new environments, using photography to slow down the euphoria of travel and transform fleeting sensations into indelible fragments of memory. To Pedicini, the act of photographing is not about freezing time, but rather an ongoing "act of memory"—a deliberate effort to find a deeper sense of belonging in the world’s diverse cultures.

He is currently dedicated to documenting his journeys and the evolving relationship between human presence and the passage of time.
